The ATI Regional Workshop on Tax Expenditures series kicked-off in 2022 and will continue in 2023! Jointly co-organised by the Addis Tax Initiative (ATI), the Council on Economic Policies (CEP) and the German Institute of Development and Sustainability (IDOS), two events where held respectively in Nigeria (Lagos, 27-28 July 2022) and Kenia (Nairobi, 18-19 October 2022), with the collaboration of the African Tax Administration Forum (ATAF) and the respective local partners.

The next regional meeting will cover Asian countries and it will be held in the Philippines (Manila, 1-3 March 2023).
The series of regional workshops is aimed at jointly identifying options to improve TEs estimation and evaluation, and to strengthen regional and global TEs networks by promoting peer exchange and learning. The workshops bring together external experts, public servants, policy makers, and civil society representatives to collaborate in assessing the state of play regarding TEs evaluation and reform.
